Dr. Kelli Ward is a military wife, the mom of three great kids, a family physician, a Master of Public Health, and a former Arizona State Senator. No stranger to tough political battles, Dr. Ward won her first term in the State Senate by winning an intense three-way primary with strong grassroots support. Dr. Ward proudly sponsored many pieces of common sense legislation to reform healthcare, education, and welfare as well as shrink the size of government, lower taxes, and decrease government regulation on businesses allowing them to thrive. She supports securing our border & stopping illegal immigration, repealing Obamacare, stopping Common Core, assuring that the US has a strong military, honoring promises we’ve made to our veterans, and protecting our rights including those guaranteed by the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Amendments.

I am running for the United States Senate here in Arizona because as a citizen I am gravely concerned with the lack of morality, lack of principle, and lack of direction in our government. I see too few leaders in Washington standing up for the people.
We deserve leaders who will be direct about where they stand on the most critical issues facing our country. As your Senator, I will be direct, I will be honest, and I will be accountable to you for my promises.
Together, for the sake of our children and grandchildren, we must return to the three pillars of Ronald Reagan conservatism; fiscal conservatism, social conservatism, and national defense.
We must secure our borders, and we must keep our promises to our Veterans. And last but not least, we must provide the kind of leadership that is necessary to bring about fundamental tax and regulatory reforms.
Without those reforms it won’t be possible to once again enjoy the kind of economic prosperity that the people of Arizona, and the people of the United States, deserve.

"Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality will prevail in the exclusion of religious principle." George Washington left us this good advice in his farewell address. Our nation is facing diminishing morality and the pundits are searching for root causes. The root cause is the secularization of the USA. I stand up to represent the family of God and those that want to live in the one nation under god our pledge talks about. I am not a politician who happens to believe in God, I am not a politician at all. I will be a representative whose decisions come from my Christian faith. I am a 50 year old Arizona native and a husband, father and grandfather. I own a small business and have a associates degree from GCC. I have always been part of the tax paying God trusting working middle class and we love this country. The time has come to stand up and defend this godly republic from progressives and lukewarm republicans. Please have the courage to write in Sean Webster for the US Senate in the August 30 republican primary.

Growing up on tribal land in the White Mountains, I saw firsthand how Arizona’s boom-and-bust cycles have hurt our state. And that’s still the case today as too many Arizona families are falling behind, even though they’re working harder and harder.
That’s why I’m running for the U.S. Senate. Traveling across Arizona, I’ve heard a resounding message: after 33 years of the same leadership it’s time for change. We need to get back to creating high-paying jobs, rebuilding our education system, and supporting working families. It’s time to put Arizona first.
In Congress, I put partisan politics aside to reach across the aisle and find solutions - because Arizonans want results, not partisan obstruction. From helping service members access the care they need to supporting local businesses, I have a record of standing up for veterans, protecting vital programs like Social Security and Medicare, and helping students gain the education they need for our 21st century economy. But there’s still so much work to do to prepare our state for the future.
Arizona is my lifelong home, and I know what’s possible here. As your senator, I will always stand with you to fight for our state’s bright future.

Merissa Hamilton is a business professional with a 15yr track record of solving complex challenges in the Technology, Foodservice Distribution and Supply Chain industries. In 2009 she helped successfully launch and lead a nationwide initiative in the Foodservice industry to drive waste out of the supply chain and create needed efficiencies to help the industry grow and meet increasing consumer and legislative demands.
Merissa saw firsthand how disastrous government intervention, no matter how well intentioned, can have on the growth and success of businesses and the economy.
Merissa is running for office to restore reason, logic and common sense to our US Senate representation for Arizona. We do not need career politicians representing our proud heritage of being a state that values the individual. We need to return our representation back to the everyday citizens that are passionate and driven to solve problems -- just like they do in their private sector careers!
Her US Senate campaign is focused on 3 pillars:
1) Economic Freedom
2) Individual Sovereignty
3) Freedom from Tyranny
This summer, you can restore liberty back to the Senate by writing-in Merissa Hamilton for US Senate of Arizona for the Libertarian Party in our August 30th Primary!

Boiling Frog Party candidate Gary Swing is just a small frog from a large pond. He thinks outside the bog as he hops into the race for Frog King.
WTF?!? -- Why the Frogs?
We are in the midst of the Sixth Mass Extinction of animal species, resulting from human impact on the ecosystem.
About 52% of the global wildlife population of vertebrate species has died off since 1970 while human population has doubled during the same time and per capita ecological footprints have dramatically overshot the sustainable limits of growth. Amphibian species rapidly become extinct as their habitats are destroyed.
As a wise frog once sang, "It’s not easy being Green." The Boiling Frog Party seeks to unite amphibious citizens of the world who prefer to have the thermostat turned down slightly on the global hot tub we all share, before we all croak.
The Boiling Frog Party is concerned about global warming, stovetop warming, amphibian rights, preservation of endangered species, water pollution, conservation of wetlands and other natural habitats, human overpopulation, and the disturbing habit of Peruvian street vendors sticking live frogs in blenders. We demand a global ban on restaurants serving frog legs.

Born in Springerville, Apache County, Gary Kiehne is an Arizona rancher, cattleman and small business owner who shares our rural values and deep appreciation for our great state and lands.
A husband, father and grandfather, Gary is deeply concerned with the future of our state and nation. Like so many of us, Gary believes it’s critical we rein in Washington to stop the out of control spending, secure our borders, shrink the size of government and put decision making back in the hands of our state and local leaders.
Not a politician, Gary has spent his life in the private sector creating jobs and growing his small businesses in the oil, ranching, cattle and hotel industries. Gary knows firsthand what it takes to run a business, while facing the growing bureaucratic, red tape policies driven by Washington politicians that are hindering the ability of Arizonans to grow our jobs and economy.
Today, Gary manages three family owned hotels in eastern Arizona, and continues to work in the oil and gas industry and in his family’s farming and ranching operations.

As a wise frog once sang, "It’s not easy being Green." The Arizona Green Party didn’t nominate a Congressional candidate for CD2. So Boiling Frog Party candidate Gary Swing has hopped into the Green Party’s primary to repurpose the Green ballot line for an unauthorized "dark green, dark humor" campaign.
The United States is a nation of sheep, ruled by wolves for the benefit of pigs. Congress is a den of vipers. All we are saying is... give frogs a chance!
Other politicians claim to represent the people. Gary Swing leaps into the swamp of electoral politics to represent the neglected interests of frogs and other endangered species whose continued existence is gravely threatened by human impact on the environment. As an ecological indicator species, frogs are especially sensitive to changes in both aquatic and terrestrial environments.
The Boiling Frog Party advocates Respect for Biological Diversity concerning people of all species. We must all swim together to preserve our wetlands for our tadpoles, and for our tadpoles’ tadpoles.
The Boiling Frog Party: because there’s more to life than just freezing toads. Come on in. The water’s fine! Relax in the hot tub with us and sip a pina colada.

Currently there is no Democrat on the ballot in District 8. This is frustrating. Democracy is about choice. Right now we don’t have one. I want to change that.
I find myself in a situation where I could sit by and say, yes, it’s fine to live in a democracy with a single choice for representation. But I just can’t. I can’t sit here and say that it’s okay for us not have a choice because I’m afraid of making a personal sacrifice to stand up for people who don’t have a voice in this district.
I’ve lived in Anthem for ten years and I’ve never held office. I’m running because I wanted to vote for a Democrat, and there isn’t one. With that said, I’d aspire to represent the entire district if elected, not just a single party. After all, no one party defines our district.

Dunn, a Republican, is a retired Superior Court judge and served as an assistant attorney general. He worked in private practice at Yarbrough, Moll and Dunn. He served as Chandler mayor from 2002-11 and was vice mayor and a City Council member before that.
"The role of a commissioner is very similar to that of a judge, to be the impartial decision-maker based on the facts presented to you on each individual case, regardless of personal feelings or outside influences," Dunn said. "That is how I ran my court, and that is how I will serve as a Corporation Commissioner. The function of the Arizona Corporation Commission is critically important to the success of our state. It’s time we move past all the rhetoric and return to the basics of protecting the public interest."

Nikki Bagley is a second generation Arizonan with a long standing history of public service. She served as mayor and councilwoman in Jerome, and is currently the director of the wine growing program at Yavapai College’s Southwest Wine Center. Nikki is running for State Senate for her young son Ryan and for every child in Arizona, all of whom deserve a better and more prosperous state. Arizona cannot simply be a place for children to grow up, but must be a place where Arizonans want to work, live, and raise families of their own.
As a teacher, Nikki knows that restoring funding for education will ultimately help grow our economy. She also has a track record of being responsible with taxpayer dollars. As mayor, she balanced the budget every year without raising taxes or cutting services.
Nikki knows how impactful both good and bad legislation can be and worked to influence meaningful bills to help expand the burgeoning wine industry, while fighting against damaging legislation that would have negatively impacted rural Arizona. As a native Arizonan, mayor, mother, teacher, and farmer, Nikki will see that our state government works for all Arizonans.

I’ve been politically active my whole life, starting with opposition against the Vietnam War, lobbying against the Drug Wars, opposing nuclear waste dump plans. Also ran a successful recall drive to get rid of a corrupt mayor in Bisbee., ran a kamikaze campaign for Congress advocating No Nukes, promoting solar and alternative energies, respect for the environment.
I say this bluntly, because now we’re in a water crisis and Arizona doesn’t need more double talk or empty promises. (Or Donald Trump!) - I’ll struggle uphill for what I believe, (while most don’t care).
Elect me and get a fighter who will battle against all odds.

My name is Ralph Atchue. As a first time candidate - not a career politician, my pledge is to run for no more than two terms and not run for any other elected office.
I’m a 4 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. I enjoyed a 33 year career with the U.S. Postal Service - starting as a Letter Carrier I worked my way up to Postmaster. During that time I negotiated labor agreements representing both union and management.
Arizona needs legislators with a balanced perspective. Today’s one party controlled legislature has lost touch with the everyday needs of the citizens of our state. I stand for commonsense solutions to our pressing problems, bringing Arizona to a place of national leadership making us all proud.
AZ needs to prioritize education, infrastructure and citizen participation. AZ needs innovative ways to reduce the surge of violence in today’s society. AZ needs our election and political process to be clean, open, transparent and accountable. AZ needs legislators who make people their special interest rather than donors. AZ needs more commonsense and less controversy. Please join me in meeting those needs and moving Arizona to the top!

I have lived in Gilbert for the past 15 years, raised 2 daughters and now enjoying my grandchildren. I am running for the Arizona State Senate because I truly love this State. I believe in it and I want to make it a better place to live for everyone. My years of working as an Administrative Assistant in the State Senate and working in Governor Napolitano and Governor Brewer’s office has given me the insight and experience to be a leader that our state needs. It is vital that we have clean air and water, invest in public education, have equal pay for equal work, to have effective immigration policies, and to continue to expand our transit system. As your State Senator I will be your voice by listening to your concerns and taking them to the State Capitol.

I’m proud of Arizona’s progress since I was elected. Our budget is balanced, our economy is growing, we’ve added hundreds of millions of dollars to education, and Arizona is one of the best states in the country to do business in. I voted for the largest tax cuts in Arizona history, the Arizona Jobs Bill, and SB1070. I authored Arizona’s transparency laws and the ban on affirmative action. I have a 100% pro-life, pro-family, pro-2nd Amendment, pro-border security voting record, and won the Hero of the Taxpayer award. Working with Don Shooter and Darin Mitchell, we are an effective team for our entire district - from Yuma to Wickenburg to the West Valley, protecting everything from our military bases to agricultural interests. My opponent is Diane Landis, a self-described moderate who ran and lost in 2014. I opposed Common Core, she supported it. I opposed the ObamaCare Expansion, she supported it. As a Town Councilmember Landis was rated Friend of Big Government and was endorsed by a Democrat Senator because she’s "as close to a Democrat" as they can get in our very Republican district. I’m endorsed by Congressman Franks, Sheriff Arpaio, and many others. I ask for your vote!

Arizona is my home. Both my husband, Joe, and I grew up and and raised our three daughters here in Phoenix. Now they’re raising their families here in this great state.
As your Senator I have worked to restrain the growth of government and the burdensome regulations unaccountable bureaucracies can impose upon Arizona families - stifling job creation, throttling state revenues and undermining our basic liberties.
Funding the State’s priorities – education, public safety and infrastructure – while achieving a structurally balanced budget is basic good government - but it is imperative that funding be outcome-driven and accountable.
I remain committed to ensuring the billions spent each year yield the outcomes we want to see in Arizona – an educated workforce, safer families, less recidivism and more connection to the communities in which individuals can thrive.
That is why I have prioritized expanding health care options and empowering parents to choose the health care and education they believe is best for their children - while protecting the lives of the most vulnerable. It is why I have consistently supported border security and your Constitutional right to bear arms.
My hope is to continue to serve you in the Arizona Senate.

Tonya loves Arizona! Having lived in Arizona for 40+ years, she knows how Arizona has changed and grown. Tonya graduated from Camelback High, and University of Arizona. Returning to Phoenix, she married Doug, a Phoenix Firefighter/paramedic, where they raised two wonderful children.
Tonya is proud of her service to the mental health community. As the current Board Chair for CHEEERS (an innovative mental health center), she knows the challenges facing non-profit organizations. Her work as an abuse/mortality investigator for ADHS/BHS inspired her to attend Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2005.
Tonya is a Partner at the law firm of Burch & Cracchiolo, a leader in the Arizona legal community for 45 years. As a lawyer, Tonya is well aware of the practical impact of the Legislature’s actions on her fellow citizens.
Tonya knows that without strong schools our children are at risk and so is our community. Disengaged children lead to a need for more police and community services. Challenged communities can’t attract new businesses. We can help our children and our economy. Together we can make a difference for Arizona.

Looking for a child-friendly community with top-notch schools, a growing and thriving economy, and convenient access to work and play, my wife and I moved to Chandler in 2003. Almost 13 years later, I’m proud to say that three generations of my family now call Arizona home.
With an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters degree in Business Administration, I’ve utilized my academic and business experience to fulfill my passion to serve others within my community. Currently, I work as a hospital director serving Native Americans residing in the Gila River Indian Community.
As the son of a public school teacher of 35 years and as a father of two school-aged daughters, I have a sincere desire to ensure that our public school system is properly funded and that every child in Arizona (regardless of zip code or socioeconomic status) has equal access to a world-class education at all levels. Growing up in Silicon Valley, I witnessed firsthand how prudent investment in public education can spur innovation, leading to tremendous economic growth and prosperity.

Actions speak louder than words. Service is one of those actions. Frank Schmuck has spent a career serving others as an Air Force officer, a Gulf War veteran, a professional pilot, and as a leader in the community. When his nation needed him in 1991, Frank piloted a C-141B aircraft through dangerous airspace at night into Tel Aviv, Israel delivering Patriot Missiles in support of our allies on the ground. In recognition for his service, he received the Air Force Air Medal and, in 2004, became the youngest living inductee to the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame.
Honesty and strong character are requirements for holding office as an elected official. Public trust requires moral standards, ethical values, and strong principles. Residents deserve a Senator who will stand up for what’s right and who will fight for them. Frank has demonstrated that he is a man of his word and someone we can trust.
From fighting for Gulf War veterans diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease-(ALS), to founding two scholarship organizations that have helped hundreds of students go to college, to leading the charge on rubberized asphalt to lower freeway noise, Frank has a distinguished record leading his community and helping others.

I am a mom, small business owner and lifelong Democrat who was born and raised in South Phoenix. Public service and working to improve the community are values that were instilled in me from a young age. I believe that our district deserves a state senator who not only shares their values but will fight for their interests. We need to invest in education, support our local small businesses, and improve the health and safety of our communities so that everyone has an opportunity to thrive. If elected, that’s exactly what I will do.

My name is Angel Torres, Green Party candidate (write-in) for State Senator in LD 27. My top three campaign issues are: 1) Union jobs equals a strong economy; 2) Health care as a human right; and 3) Using the state budget surplus to fully fund public education. I'm a native Arizonan, have lived in South Phoenix/Laveen for 26 years, and graduated from Arizona State University (1986) with a B.A. in Organizational Communication. A 29-year airline employee, I served on my bargaining unit's 1st contract negotiating committee (2005-07), and have been a union shop steward (Teamsters Local 104) for 12 years. Being a union member has helped me to improve and maintain my standard of living. If we want a strong economy, we need a strong middle/working class. And, if we want a strong working class, we need strong unions. The Green Party believes that health care is a human right, and we support a Medicare-for-All, single-payer, health care system (similar to Canada). We can improve public education in Arizona by hiring more teachers and reducing class sizes. If you are a registered Green or Independent, please vote for me in the Primary Election on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Thanks!

Kate Brophy McGee is a third generation Arizonan, born into a ranching family and raised in Southern Arizona. She graduated with honors from the University of Arizona in 1977. Kate completed a bank management training program in 1978 and spent the next twelve years in banking, ending her career as a bank vice president and senior commercial loan officer. She left banking when her first child was born.
A former school board president, Kate was first elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2010. She serves as Chair of the House Banking & Financial Services Committee and Vice Chair of the House Children & Family Affairs Committee. She is Co-Chair of the Department of Child Safety Legislative Oversight Committee and sponsored the legislation establishing the new Department of Child Services agency in May of 2014.
This year, Governor Ducey appointed Kate to the Arizona Substance Abuse and Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit Task Forces. In keeping with her concern for Arizona’s vulnerable, Kate led the successful charge to restore KidsCare this past legislative session. She has received numerous awards and recognition for her legislative work on behalf of Arizona’s vulnerable populations, and serves on various boards and commissions.

As LD28’s State Representative, I worked on bipartisan solutions to address Arizona’s challenges. Like many Arizonans, however, I am upset with the path taken by the Legislature. The majority has slashed $1.2 billion a year from our public schools, while supporting vouchers for private schools and building private prisons. It is time to change the priorities. It is time to elect a Senator who truly supports children and public education and has the voting record to prove it. I voted to restore KidsCare every chance I had and refused to play political games with the health of 30,000 children. I have asked for more accountability from the Department of Child Safety. I introduced an amendment to restore last year’s cuts to K-12, using existing revenues, but it was defeated on a party-line vote. If elected to the Senate, I will continue to fight for quality schools, high-wage jobs and affordable college tuition. I will continue to use my degree in economics, my years as an emergency medicine physician and my experience on the Scottsdale School Board to represent the residents of District 28. The future of Arizona is at stake. I ask for your vote!

From firsthand experience, Crystal Nuttle knows the pain of unjustly losing custody of her children in 1995 by the Arizona Court System. Through a seemingly unending battle she had the victory of regaining full custody by the favor and power of God! Crystal’s testimony in 2000 was crucial in passing a blocked AZ Senate bill into law which protects both parents and children. In 2001 Crystal spoke at the United Nations at the "Worldwide Children Summit" in behalf of children’s’ needs rather than rights. Crystal is a "Certified Court Watcher" for child custody issues. Crystal has full support and backing from her husband of fifteen years, along with her family and friends. The responsibility of our state legislature is to come up with a revenue and spending plan. We must focus on public education, which comprises half of the budget, to enhance every aspect of living and working in Arizona. "Business-friendly" means educated employees and employers, and their children.
Amending Arizona’s 5C’s starts with CONSERVATION. "Ditat Deus," and it’s up to us to use resources wisely: this means CLEAN air, water and soil. Solar is a sensible alternative to nuclear and fossil fuels.
As state rep I will stress a range of C’s, including CONSTITUENT SERVICES. CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM starts here and now with my frugal "No-Gift" campaign. COMPASSION and COMMON SENSE make up a fair share of CONSCIOUSNESS. And our CONSTITUTION is a handy reference. COOPERATION starts with a dose of COMITY, which may be the toughest row to hoe. I am the CONSERVATIVE in this race.
I will work diligently to uphold Green Party values of ecological wisdom and social justice. Arizona can abolish the death penalty. We can uphold voting rights, resist gigantic corporate control, support entrepreneurialism, and enhance freedom.

Leadership, Experience and Common Sense - it is an honor to take ideas from Southern Arizona to the State House of Representatives, because that is what Arizona needs; a little common sense and straight from the heart. One person can make a difference. Together we have been successful in bringing together the collective energy and leadership necessary to shape the future of our State. It takes local leadership to address the challenges to public education, developing employment opportunities and working for water sustainability. We won’t get anywhere if we don’t start listening to each other. I vote my conscience; speak my mind and I consider how my decisions affect us in Southern Arizona. Join me and let’s build a better future for Arizona. I ask for your vote.

I am a pro-life Republican whose top priority is to provide for my family and protect all Arizona families. I am a constitutional conservative who will ensure that we have a balanced budget while promoting economic development, achieving reasonable deregulation and protecting our liberties.
My goals are for Arizona to have strong economic growth and to be an example of fiscal responsibility. I care deeply about the education of our youth and parents’ right to educate their children in public schools, charter schools, private schools, home schools, etc. I want to protect our inalienable rights given to us from God, rights to own private property and our right to keep and bear arms. I believe that the Constitution of the United States was inspired by God and that our Founding Fathers were willing to give up their lives and their fortunes for our freedom. I believe that all Americans have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that the family is the central most important unit of our society.
I was raised in Arizona. I am a small business owner and a Certified Financial Planner.
I look forward to serving the wonderful people of Arizona.

A native of rural Arizona, I have lived in Mohave County since 1992. I have five grown children and five grandchildren.
After serving nearly 12 years as a member of the Bullhead City Council, I feel I have the desire and experience to serve as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives. Making Arizona the best place in the country to live, work and have fun is of the utmost importance to me.
Creating a more attractive place for new businesses with new jobs, less government intervention and a higher quality of life is important. Allowing local governments to choose their own niche within Arizona and thrive without overbearing mandates from the state or federal government is a necessity that creates new opportunities in every corner of the state.

I graduated from LHHS in 2000 and was very involved in high school sports, clubs and organizations. Soccer, football, tennis, Interact-Rotary, National Honors Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Student Government are just to name a few. I attended The University of Arizona and graduated with a degree in Business Administration from one of the top business schools in the United States, The Eller College of Business. Although I have never run for office, I have always had a passion for politics since childhood. My core belief is that all politicians should follow the rule of doing what’s best for the people, not what’s best for the corporations or self interest groups. Although our current system does have its benefits, I feel that it is not working as well as it should. Education, health care, jobs, safety and our given constitutional rights should come first before anything. Most importantly, I will listen to the wants and needs of all people, regardless of party affiliation.

This election is a critical for rural Arizona. Each voter must ask themselves: "Who will best represent me in the state legislature?" T.J. Shope has a distinguished record of standing up for the people he represents. T.J. Shope strongly believes that rural communities must have healthcare that is affordable and he will fight against prescription drug companies that engage in price gouging and other unethical practices. T.J. Shope is a committed watchdog for consumers. T.J. Shope also fought for policies that helped bring desperately needed jobs to our area and he has been in the forefront of making certain that our schools have more funding for education. I believe the best way to achieve an efficient and simplified government is to elect Representatives who actually know the needs of you, your family, and your business. I’m a native Tucsonan who has been speaking with many of you for years. In fact, that’s one of my favorite parts of campaigning.
One thing I hear again and again is frustration that for far too long, we have paid for representation and been ignored by politicians who are too busy meeting with lobbyists and protecting special interests. I’m running to be a different kind of Representative. I respect you and know you spend your hard-earned dollars as carefully as you can to raise your family, invest, and build towards your future. That’s how I’ll handle the state budget. I support a simplified bureaucracy and an improved communication system so that I can get facts and information to you quickly. I believe we need transparency and accountability, and I promise that I will protect and maintain your individual right to choose what’s best for you, your family and your business. A better economy, schools, and job market, all start with better government.
Let’s do this together. I ask for your vote!

I was elected a State Representative in 2014 and served my first term in the Arizona House of Representatives in 2015-2016. I am also a physician, surgeon, and professor of surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
As a legislator I believe that it is the state’s responsibility to ensure that the core values of equality, opportunity (including equality of opportunity), and safety are reflected in its actions.
During my first term I worked to support appropriate funding for Arizona public schools. I will continue to make appropriate funding for public schools a priority if re-elected.
I also stand for a women’s right to make her own healthcare decisions, responsible gun safety legislation, expanded access to healthcare for all, the ability of cities and towns to self-govern without undue preemption from the state, the protection of our environment and natural resources, ensuring that exercising the right to vote is not restricted, and supporting infrastructure in Arizona (roads/highways/railways, technology growth, water conservation, as well as K-12 public education and our Universities).
I believe that by supporting and growing Arizona infrastructure small businesses will prosper and corporations will expand in Arizona creating job growth and a robust economy.

"Arizonans are facing some very challenging problems. Our schools are struggling. Our roads are crumbling. Our child support services are abysmal. California’s drought and our reliance on the Colorado River for water leave us in a precarious position. Wages for hard working people aren’t just stagnant, they’re dropping and costs are ever rising. Our kids and grandkids will have fewer opportunities than we did. Future generations will have to scramble for the scraps from our tables and a financial burden of immense proportion will overwhelm them.
We need representation at the state capitol that can overcome the "party platform" mentality and party division we endure; we need effective representatives who can and will work together in the legislature to get things done. I’m running, to represent everyone at the state capitol and to get things done. Let’s fix our problems together."

FREEDOM•OPPORTUNITY•JUSTICE are the American principles I vow to honor as your elected representative. Recent unpopular Arizona legislation has put our state reputation at stake. Our elected leaders advertise support for economic growth, yet fail to understand the link between high-performing public education programs and business development. They claim to be tough on crime, yet thousands of violent rape cases have gone uninvestigated. They boast fiscally conservative records, yet they pillage our state tax revenue to file lawsuits against voter-enacted laws. This partisan affront to our civil rights must end. Arizona’s unsustainable revenue structure is carried on the backs of the middle class and we are suffering. Arizona ranks 41st for "tax fairness" due to disproportionate over-taxation of lower earners. I am a middle-class mother and chemist looking for real solutions for hardworking Arizonans. I will fight for public education, voter rights protection, fair proportional taxation, and state cooperation with local law enforcement. As a Clean Elections Candidate I reject the notion that the wealthy elite may purchase a stronger voice in our political system. I humbly ask for your vote so that we can make the Arizona Legislature work for all of us and not just the wealthy.

I also believe in an open door policy. This state needs to bring new industry and create new jobs, but is the state ready with the educated work force to handle the new highly skilled jobs of today. Also, the water issue is another big concern of mine as I live in a rural farming area. We need to figure out how we are going to manage this resource for now and into the future. I look forward to working with the members of the House of Representatives to help solve some of these issues.

With Speaker Gowan and Rep. Stevens both leaving the House, our district is losing 16 years of experience and a great deal of clout. So it’s important to elect real conservatives who can work well with Senator Gail Griffin, and hit the ground running on important issues. I am a proud conservative Republican, an Eagle Scout, a Christian and an Engineer at a Missile Defense Contractor in Southern Arizona. Prior to this job, I worked projects associated to F-22 and F-35 Fighters. I’m a roll-up the sleeves, dig into the facts, problem-solving kind of guy. I also grew up in an agricultural community, so I understand the battles facing ranchers, farmers and the mining industries. I pledge to serve my district with integrity and to honor my oath of office. I will defend our Constitutional rights, including our 2nd Amendment rights. I am pro-life, pro-family, and pro-traditional values. I believe in secure borders and a real border wall. I also intend to focus on economic issues and jobs, to ensure that the debate over economic policy recognizes the unique needs of rural Arizona. Rural Arizona needs a powerful voice in the State House of Representatives. Maricopa county and big cities like Phoenix tend to dominate the legislative process. I am Drew John and I was born, raised and have worked my entire life in this rural legislative district. Over my lifetime I have come to know all too well the critical issues we face. We need more and better jobs, reduced regulations, excellent educational opportunities, safe communities, and affordable healthcare that is accessible to our rural areas. Unfortunately, we are often overlooked on these and many other important issues. I have worked as a meat cutter, small business owner, school board member, and county supervisor, to name a few. I am fully committed to representing your interests and fighting for your rights in the state legislature. You have my word that I will represent you in a fair and honest manner. I welcome your comments and suggestions, and want to know what is most important to you. www.DrewJohn.com for more information and to get my contact information. Your vote for Drew John will ensure a fair and honest representative that cares about you and the issues we face in rural Arizona.

As the parent of two college aged children, and having been the principal who awarded them their diplomas, public education in Arizona is my passion. During the past 24 years I have worked as a teacher, program coordinator, assistant principal and the past ten years as principal to help educate the children of Southern Arizona.
Arizona has made de-funding public school districts its priority over the past decade and I have chosen to no longer sit on the sidelines, instead I am doing something about it! I am running for office to support the parents, children and community members who believe that a well-educated populous is the most important undertaking of our state government; and one that they have quite honestly not made a priority.
I have recently been named the 2016 Arizona High School Principal of the Year. That title and recognition comes with the responsibility to get more involved in education funding and I ask for your support in helping all of Arizona’s children.
I believe that we can choose to keep electing the same type of folks we always send to the legislature, or we can choose to send people who are proven leaders in Education.

If you are looking for an ordinary candidate, please look elsewhere. I am running for one reason: I am fed up with politicians and "business as usual". My primary purpose is to combat corruption and bring common sense back into our government.
I consider myself to be the guy next door. I am 42 years old and my wife, Leta, and I recently celebrated our 20th year wedding anniversary. We have two wonderful children. My family has lived in Cochise County for over 35 years, my wife’s family since 1908.
I currently work as a Cochise County Prosecutor and the coordinator of the Felony Adult Diversion Program. I’ve worked as a victim advocate and as criminal defense attorney.
People that know me best have described me as socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I won’t claim to have accurate definitions of these political labels at this point, as it seems most of them have been trampled and worn thin over the years.
I promise that if you elect me, I will not be corrupted by special interests. I will promote the spirit of tolerance while holding our core American principles of liberty and justice close to my heart. Thank you.

As your state legislator since 2011, I’ve worked to streamline government, improve the economy, encourage job creation, reform education and balance the state budget through responsible spending measures. Serving as the Health Committee Chairwoman, I work relentlessly to make sure our Arizona health care system is both efficient and effective while providing Arizonans access to world-class treatments right in our own backyard.
After graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in communication, I completed a master’s degree in educational technology and received a doctorate degree in education leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Currently, I am a full-time, clinical associate professor at Arizona State University. I was also a seventh-grade teacher in the Paradise Valley Unified School District teaching middle school English and social studies. Before teaching, I worked for several local companies: KOOL-FM, Phoenix Suns, and Wallace Laboratories. Having worked for both small businesses and corporate employers, I understand the important role that companies of all sizes play in our economy. My hope is to continue to serve as your state representative to help put Arizona on the "fast-track" to economic prosperity for the twenty-first century.
I currently live in the north Phoenix area with my husband and daughter.

Arizona faces a critical time this election year that will determine our state’s direction for years to come. I share the values of many fellow Arizonans: opportunities for individual success based upon talent and work ethic and government respectful of the voters. Unfortunately, our State Legislature has abandoned those values in favor of extreme, right wing national interests who do not share our values.
I am running for the State House of Representatives so that we may recreate an Arizona based upon our core values. To maximize opportunities for individual success, our investment in public education must be held as a top priority. Budgets reflect a state’s value system, and while our expenditures for private prisons continues to sky rocket, our investment in public education dwindles. We should invest in Arizona’s leaders of tomorrow rather than ensure profits for companies to incarcerate our neighbors. Additionally, our elected officials continue to circumvent the will of the voters by passing legislation that directly contradicts voter initiatives and places unfair obstacles for many to vote, particularly Independents. All voters must be empowered, and their voice should take precedence over political ideologies.
Together, we can take back Arizona and place people over politics.

Kelly also is concerned with a balanced budget that protects and creates jobs, strengthens education, and finds creative funding streams to bolster the economy, without raising your taxes. Kelly’s goals include smaller government, fiscal and individual responsibility, observing the rule-of-law, and American families first. Her work is far from done in securing these goals and asks for your vote to return her to the State House.

I am a local business owner committed to creating an economic environment that lowers taxes, eliminates bad regulations, and modernizes our licensing and permitting process. I also believe that Arizona has to look at cultivating its natural resources and getting our infrastructure dollars working for us. I am also committed to creating a child-first education system that focuses on the individual needs of our children and empowering parents with choices of where to send their children to get an education.
I grew up in the manufacturing business that my grandfather started in 1952, and eventually started my own real estate business to pay for my education at Arizona State University. I learned the valuable lessons of working within a set budget, doing more with less during slow times, treating people with respect and dignity, and not giving up because something doesn’t come easy. I believe that it will take a conservative with a track record of real life accomplishments to fix the problems we have and can’t afford in these times to stick with the status quo.
Arizona has given so much to me and my family and I would be honored to earn the opportunity to fight for Arizona.

Jeff Weninger is in his first term as a State Representative for Legislative District 17. His district serves Gilbert, Sun Lakes and a large portion of Chandler, where Jeff resides with his wife, Janet, and their three children; Jacob, Christian and Grace. Their children have all attended Chandler Unified School District.
Jeff is the co-owner of two local restaurant concepts in the East Valley. For more than 20 years, Jeff has employed thousands of Arizona citizens and fed millions while contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars into the local economy through sales tax revenue. Jeff and his wife, Janet, both serve the community in philanthropic work with charities for children and youth in crisis.
Before serving as a State Representative, Jeff served on the Chandler City Council for eight years and held the position of Vice Mayor. He became known as the common sense councilman and created a culture that ultimately changed the way Chandler employees approached spending tax dollars. Chandler’s budget remained one of the strongest in the state during the economic downturn without cutting needed services.

Arizona has some hefty challenges. Our schools are hurting. Families and individuals have concerns every day about safety, getting a better job, and their children’s future. It’s time to focus on what’s most important: our people.
We need an economy that works for everybody, not just a select few. An innovation economy creates good, high-paying jobs. Innovative startups and career-ready graduates strengthen our economic competitiveness.
The key to prosperity for everybody is a robust education system. We are depending on today’s students for our future health, safety, and economic well-being. For 25 years, I have been advocating for strong public schools. I began with the PTO/PTA when my children were young, and then served on the Kyrene School Board. I have built statewide coalitions of parents, teachers, retirees, school officials, and business leaders to collaborate on continuous improvements for our children’s schools.
Arizona has some hefty challenges, but we have the resources to solve them. I have been a problem solver throughout my career as a computer systems analyst in multi-national companies, as a small business owner, and as an advocate for education. I have a track record of collaborating to get the work done.

I also worked part time as a teachers aid in the Mesa School District.
Presently I am a part time golf starter at Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa.
As an endorsed Green Party candidate I hope to bring another point of view to the discussion of issues important to our state.
Some of the issues that concern me are public education, the environment and electoral reform.
Public education needs to be fully funded. An educated citizenry makes choices that serve the well being of the community, present and future.
The legislature needs to be mindful of the businesses that are encouraged to bring jobs to Arizona so that the air, water and soil are sustainable.
I will educate and work for electoral reform that will allow representation to a broader base of voters.

I got into politics because I saw first-hand how education was being devalued. My mother and brother are teachers. I am a graduate of a K-12 public school and a public university, I have volunteered for candidates that support education.
I went to law school with a vision for public service. So, after graduation, I advocated for students across in Arizona and North Carolina, ensuring that they had access to funding and to information on voting like registration and message points.
I am a law school-educated advocate that considers students as the priority in Arizona and especially in LD 20. I want to restore the $4 billion in cuts to public education in K-12 and higher education that have been made since the Recession.
I also work with small businesses and policymakers currently. I want to make sure Arizona’s entrepreneurs and small businesses can grow, and fill the empty storefronts from Dunlap to Union Hills.

I’m a Republican candidate for the AZ House in LD21. I’m an Arizona native and joined the Navy out of high school. Married over 25 years with four children and seven grand children. Last year my wife and I started a new business called Kstar BBQ.
Grow Economy – To grow the economy you must grow and create jobs. This is best done with small business. We must keep the regulatory burden in check eliminating unnecessary regulation.
Education – I believe in school choice which leads to competition between schools. With competition there is improvement. Arizona has three of the top ten schools in the nation so it’s not entirely a money issue. AZ is ranked last in the nation for teacher pay making it difficult to attract good teachers. Along with increased pay comes increased accountability ensuring teachers and schools are performing to our standards.
Transportation – AZ is in a great position to grow if we have a good highways and railways. If we can manufacture goods in AZ and export them elsewhere that would be good for AZ. We must maintain our existing roadways and be ready to expand as needed.

Deanna Rasmussen-Lacotta was raised in the Midwest to be a hard-working and sincere person. One of twelve children, she helped raise her younger brothers and sisters. After high school she went directly into radiologic training in Phoenix at St. Joseph’s hospital, followed by nuclear medicine technology training in Colorado.
She has worked in the field of nuclear medicine on and off for almost 25 years, collecting a BS degree in Nuclear Biomedical Chemistry along the way. Working in medicine and then getting injured while on the job, made her look for alternatives to healing instead of following the medical model of surgery. She has also been a business application software trainer.
She is married to Bernie Lacotta for the last three years. They live in Sun City, after she moved here from Colorado to be with him in 2013.

I have just completed my second term and it is still a great honor to serve you. I continue to focus on improving our economy, encouraging job growth, strengthening the family unit, protecting our state’s sovereignty, and restoring our Constitutional rights. I advocate for secure borders, have a 100% pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment record, and continue to fight to stop Common Core and restore control over our school curriculum back to Arizona parents and teachers. As the House Majority Whip, I was very involved in passing our balanced budget (with no accounting gimmicks) and increasing education funding by hundreds of millions of dollars, without raising taxes! For my votes, I have earned both the "Friend of the Family" award and the "Hero of the Taxpayer" award, and in 2015 was proud to accept the Chamber of Commerce and Industry "Legislator of the Year Award" You are my bosses, and I pledge to continue working hard for you and hope that you will communicate with my office directly when there are items of importance to you. I grew up in Boston and have lived in Scottsdale for twenty years. Arizona is home. I’m a successful local business owner, marathon runner, and mother of three children in public school. I’m a home-owner and a tax payer. I am passionate about having a voice in our state legislature.
I can no longer watch as our legislators pass laws to defund our public schools, discriminate against our citizens, and decrease our quality of life. Everyone deserves the opportunity to be successful in their lives and to have the tools to make this happen: Quality, affordable education, a diverse economy with less tax burden on families and small businesses, and a sane, mainstream voice in the legislature that fights to protect our individual freedoms and the rights of all Arizona citizens.
I am committed to working on a better government that represents our shared American values of Opportunity, Responsibility, and Community. For the last fifteen years I’ve provided light fixtures that light up our schools and hospitals, our roadways and airports, our ballparks and office buildings, and now I want to help light up our State House. I am proud to be serving my third term as your Representative. My roots in the community go back to the time of my birth and include over three decades teaching in Phoenix Union High Schools. Growing successful individuals and a strong community has been my life’s work and I am proud of the progress we have made.
This past session I was proud to pass KidsCare, legislation that will provide healthcare for 30,000 children of working parents who don’t make enough money to purchase insurance. In a rare moment of bipartisanship we worked together to restore funding to technical and career training, halting the closure of programs across the state.
There is much more work to be done though. Our schools are starving for state support, too many students are graduating unable to afford higher education and our rights are under attack. I ask for your support to return me to the House of Representatives so I can continue to fight for Arizonans’ priorities and hold the current Republican leadership accountable.

I am running for the State Legislature in District 24 because I am optimistic about our state’s future.
I have been fighting for the residents of District 24 since before it was called District 24. I fought for working families against the predatory payday lenders in 2008.
I fought to get more dollars in our classrooms when I created legislation in 2003 to help schools save money on procurement.
I fought for sustainable communities, renewable energy and energy efficiency when I was the director of the state Energy Office in 2005-06.
I have learned over the years that you bring about what you think about. Unfortunately, too many people focus only on the negative when it comes to Arizona.
However, I believe that we are standing at a crossroads. We could resign ourselves to being a punch line for jokes on late night television talk shows.
Or, we can choose an optimistic future in which Arizona has yet to make its boldest contribution to this world.
I am here to ask you for your vote so that I might take that optimistic vision to the State Legislature, where I will fight with you and for you.

I am a husband, father and Captain in the United States Marine Corps. I’m running for the state legislature in order to provide consistently conservative representation for the people of Mesa. I am a conservative because our society functions best when the role of government is appropriately limited.
Briefly about me: I grew up in Mesa, two streets over from the house where my wife Mary and I now live with our two sons. We have been married for 12 years, during the last eight of which I have served as an officer in the Marines. Prior to joining the USMC, I worked as a Legislative Assistant for US Rep. Trent Franks and as a researcher at The Goldwater Institute.
If elected, I’ll stand firm for fiscal responsibility, economic freedom, parental control of education and the rule of law. I’m seeking this seat not to just get elected, but to get things done. I hope to earn your support. Thank you.

Kathleen served on the Mesa Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Mesa 2040 General Plan Advisory Committee. A Democratic candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in District 25, Kathleen is committed to advocating for quality schools and healthy communities. She wants to make sure Arizona provides the necessary financial resources for all levels of public education. Arizona also needs to inspire innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship through a competitive business environment. We should celebrate our community’s diversity with a sense of inclusion and prepare a skilled workforce for Arizona’s businesses.

I was six when I arrived in the United States from Mexico pursuing the American Dream. I am a product of the Tempe public school system and was lucky enough to attend while our state invested in education. Those public investments, and the support of my parents, resulted in my pursuit of higher education. Therefore, I became the first in my family to attend ASU.
Through personal and professional experiences, I understand that access to high-quality education and resources help children thrive. We must increase academic achievement and growth if we are to create a capable workforce and sustainable economy. Yet, the legislature’s failure to make appropriate educational investments are visible because we are winning the race to the bottom. The costs of continued cuts means a lifetime of lost revenues and opportunities for all.
I am committed to advocating for high-quality early childhood programs, youth programs, access to community services, and funding education. I am devoted to help economically vulnerable residents that include recent immigrants, seniors, low-income families and small business owners. It is important to move Arizona forward for all.
As a native Arizonan, community leader, and education advocate, I have fought to strengthen the fabric of our communities. I was presented with Tempe’s MLK Diversity Award for my extensive experience advocating for women, working families, students, children and immigrants.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University with degrees in Economics and Political Science. In light of severe budget cuts by the legislature, I organized hundreds of students to protest and helped move pro-education bills through the state legislature. I have worked on successful campaigns to expand Latino voter engagement, increasing Latino voter turnout in 2011 by nearly 500%. I served as a union shop steward, empowered women and girls through Girl Scouts, and built awareness and support for early childhood development working for First Things First. I also worked on national healthcare and higher education policy.
Rep. Juan Mendez, Isela Blanc and I are your Democratic Clean Elections Team because we want an Arizona legislature that is free from the grips of big donors and special interests. I’ve seen firsthand how big money is destroying our democracy, and we are dedicated to standing up for our community. Vote for the Clean Elections Team in the Democratic Primary.

Celeste Plumlee was appointed to the House of Representatives for LD 26 in December 2015. She didn’t waste any time, during her first legislative session:
* Providing health insurance to 30,000 children in working, low income families by passing KidsCare.
* Sponsoring and passing her own bill through the House to protect victims of domestic violence from being evicted.
* Restoring technical education training funding, preventing the closure of JTED programs across the state.
Once re-elected Celeste will continue fighting hard to fund low-income support systems and support families. From education funding to anti-discrimination, she voted consistently to make Arizona a better place to raise a family.
Celeste is a social worker and community activist with an extensive background in social services, education, and the arts. She is also a single mom who has spent over 14 years raising her children on her own while working, going to school, and becoming increasingly involved in the community. Celeste has Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration degrees from ASU and her experience, passion for social justice, and commitment to the communities she represents make her a dedicated and effective leader.

I am a US Navy Veteran (US Naval Academy Class of 1967), Registered Arizona Attorney, and 20 year veteran officer of the Az Department of Corrections.
I believe thousands of inmates are held in Az prisons for no good purpose. Many have done nothing wrong whatever. I want to reform the prison system to incarcerate violent offenders, drunk drivers, and sex offenders. Under my plan, fiscal offenders would pay fines and restitution.
Presently incarcerated inmates would be eligible for a review of their prison sentences accordingly, with release if appropriate.

I am running for office to give the people of LD28 a voice that best represents them; business owners, parents, concerned citizens that care about their neighborhoods and the schools that fill them. I believe in a government that creates an environment of success; without overbearing regulation that keeps great businesses from growing and new businesses from starting. I’m the only candidate in this race who has written and passed legislation, built businesses, created jobs, and who continually works for his community in the promotion of education and development; the right combination of experiences that the legislature needs.
Our message is strong, and it resonates with every voter in our district. I believe I can win this race because my volunteers refuse to give up. Together we have and will continue to knock doors, raise money, and interact with the community to listen to their needs and wants to make a better Arizona. Without them there wouldn’t be a race.
For more than ten years my wife and I have chosen to live in the district. We are raising our boys here and we are committed to making this community thrive.

With the right pro-growth, fiscal conservative plan, Arizona can lead the nation in jobs, economic prosperity and quality education. I have the qualifications and experience to be an effective part of this effort by reducing government regulations and taxes that impede Arizona’s economic recove
